Child Find is the process required by school districts to identify, locate, and evaluate all children from birth through 21 years of age who may have disabilities and may need early intervention or special education services. This includes children who are parentally placed in private schools, children who are homeschooled, and children who are homeless. It is an ongoing process of public awareness and evaluations to ensure children with special needs can receive the help they need as early as possible.
